With an enviable international recognition, both in regard to reviews that to stage presence, the Ensemble and its founder, Uruguayan bandoneon player Romulo Larrea, had celebrated in 2015 the 25th anniversary of the musical group. For the Maestro Larrea, the one by whom tango arrived in Montreal, 2015 was the 35th season of artistic activity since its debut here with the first set of Canadian tango, Tango x 4.
The concerts and shows of the Ensemble are inspired both by the traditional tango and by its contemporary features. They embrace the art of dance and song that have surrounded tango since its beginnings.
We invite you to look through our site and discover or rediscover our passion for tango. The creation of repertoires and their publication are at the heart of our cultural organization and are made possible thanks to the pulsating talent of our artists and creators.
Our ultimate goal is to reach out to an increasing, enthusiastic and curious audience.
Thank you for being part of our journey.
